Aleian's journey into the world of automotive customization began in high school with a 2000 BMW 323ci coupe. This first taste of car ownership ignited a passion for vehicles and a desire to modify them to perfection. However, as a young enthusiast, Aleian faced challenges in finding the right parts and resources to bring his vision to life.

 

From a young age, Aleian's entrepreneurial spirit and passion for vehicles intertwined, leading him to launch a vehicle wrapping business in Burlington, Ontario. This venture quickly gained traction, becoming a major success. The experience not only sharpened Aleian's skills in automotive aesthetics but also provided valuable insights for likeminded car enthusiasts. Like many young entrepreneurs in the automotive industry, Aleian's early start allowed him to tap into a market need while pursuing his passion, setting the foundation for his future endeavors in the automotive customization world.

 

After his success, Aleian purchased his first ever Mercedes. It was a 2017 Mercedes AMG C63 S. Aleian encountered the same frustrations with being able to modify his car using premium quality mods. The search for high quality, perfectly fitting parts proved to be an uphill battle. The struggle was real. Reminding Aleian of the obstacles he faced as a high school student with his first BMW.

 

Drawing from Aleian’s personal experiences, he recognized a gap in the market for premium quality modification parts for luxury German vehicles. This realization led to the birth of our current venture, a specialized automotive modification and customization business focused on Audi, BMW, and Mercedes vehicles.

 

Our company, born from Aleian's passion and his firsthand understanding of enthusiasts' needs, aims to provide Canadian car lovers with the means to transform their vehicles. Recognizing the persistent challenges faced by car enthusiasts in sourcing high quality modification parts for German vehicles, Aleian identified a critical gap in the automotive aftermarket industry. Throughout his journey with both his BMW and Mercedes, he encountered ongoing difficulties finding premium, reliable parts that could truly elevate a vehicle's performance and aesthetics. This lifelong struggle inspired Aleian to act, creating Sleipnir as a dedicated platform to provide fellow automotive enthusiasts with the resources and parts he always wished were available during his own modification experiences.

My journey into the world of high end automotives started when I was growing up with posters of Lamborghinis, Porsches and my favourite of all time, the Audi R8. I would spend large parts of my childhood painting diecast models in my garage, a hobby which allowed me to enjoy the engineering aspect of being a car enthusiast alongsdide the glamour of the posters.

 

My professional journey began as an apprentice at a mechanic shop, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience and technical skills. A significant milestone in my automotive adventure was acquiring my first German car: a 2018 Audi S5 Quattro Coupe. I hoped to kit it out and customize it like my diecast models growing up. However, I soon encountered a major challenge in my quest to customize and upgrade my vehicle.

 

Searching for modification parts for my Audi proved to be an exercise in frustration. I spent countless hours scouring the internet, struggling to find parts that were both suitable and guaranteed to fit my S5. My attempt to transform my S5 into an RS5 was particularly disheartening. The rear diffuser modifications I tried never seemed to fit properly, nor did any other parts I would find online.

 

This ill-fitting modification not only made me uncomfortable but also diminished my confidence in the car's appearance. The whole point of upgrading was to be able to have a car that matched my posters and to impress at car meets, but the parts were so loose and poorly fitted, like the rear diffuser just jutting out. My car looked more like one of those ridiculous extreme car mods you find online rather than the high performance beast with a tuned engine that I had, so I removed it all.

 

This experience highlighted the near impossibility of finding high quality, perfectly fitting modification parts for my Audi S5. Additionally, the uncertainty of ordering from unfamiliar websites, mostly shipping from the U.S. raised concerns about very expensive customs fees when importing to Canada. These challenges collectively made the modification process a significant struggle as there were neither high quality fitted parts, nor were they available online.

 

A pivotal moment in my journey occurred at a car meet in Mississauga, Ontario, where I met with Aleian when he was wrapping my car. We conversed as he wrapped my car and I noticed his outside. While talking about our cars, we both realized that the same issues popped up for both of us, poor availability of high quality fitted parts locally. We bonded over not just a shared passion for German engineering in automotives, but also over our shared struggles to source parts as enthusiasts. Thus, Sleipnir was born, a company by car enthusiasts for car enthusiasts.
